I believe eating gluten-free isn’t as hard as some think.
Hey, I’m Steph! I want to help you eat the right foods for your body, share great recipes and review various things gluten-free.
I’ve been eating gluten and dairy free for almost 10 years and I’ve seen the rise of the trend of the “gluten-free diet”. I don’t believe GF is a diet to help you lose weight – its a diet to change your life and improve your overall health – only if you need to. Having celiac disease is the best reason to be gluten-free! Having an intolerance or sensitivity is another great reason. Finding what works for you is the best “diet” anyway!
I’ve dreamed of having my own bakery for a long time. One of my favourite hobbies is baking and I’ve been doing it since I could stand on a chair at the counter in my Nana’s kitchen (yes, there are home videos to prove this – wheat flour adorning each cheek to boot). Finding out I couldn’t bake my favourite treats anymore wasn’t easy but I didn’t let the lack of gluten stop me. It’s been a lot of trial and error and sometimes recipes still fail but it’s the joy of creating something delicious (eventually) in the end that keeps me going. So maybe I don’t have that bakery yet but I do have this blog and I am so excited to share with you!
Want to know some more about me?
I am recently wed to my beautiful and supportive wife, Vanessa. We are surrounded by three kitties (Dylan, Calvin & Drew) and one pup named Noah. We enjoy nights in the most, catching up on our favourite shows while sipping tea. When we’re not cuddled up at home we love day trips to Toronto to visit the best gluten-free bakeries. While Vanessa isn’t strictly gluten-free, she eats GF at home to keep our kitchen safe for me.
My current obsessions include; minimalism design (I want to paint everything white right now), greenery, chocolate chips cookies (all time fave), earl grey tea, ginger anything and cozy knitwear.
